CX Aortic Vienna 2022 Highlights

CX Aortic Vienna 2022 took place 24-26 October and was broadcast live from the CX Aortic studio. The event saw a host of experts sharing their expertise on various abdominal aortic, thoracic aortic, and juxtarenal topics. This year, CX Aortic Vienna also launched a new interactive platform which elevated the events to a new heights and allowed for more audience participation than ever before. Keep reading to see the highlights of each day of the event!

Day 1 saw discussions from leading experts discussing the new technologies available to vascular surgeons which aid the areas of parallel grafting, hybrid operating rooms and beyond. The application of new technologies and techniques to treat challenging and high-risk thoracic aortic pathologies was also highlighted. One session not to miss which can be viewed on-demand is the HDTI session on pararenal and juxtarenal aortic aneurysms from the specialist team from San Raffaele Hospital (Milan, Italy).

Day 2 covered topics from thoracic imaging to juxtarenal and arch cardiac advances. The opening session saw a multidisciplinary panel address the benefits and drawbacks of various thoracic imaging techniques including CTA. Day 3 of CX Aortic Vienna 2022 saw presentations which highlighted the disparity in population screening for abdominal aortic aneurysms among certain groups.
