Ahead of the release of the preliminary programme, the CX Aortic Live team spoke with Executive Board Member Dr. Kak Khee Yeung (Amsterdam, Netherlands). In this interview, filmed at the 46th Annual Charing Cross Symposium, Dr. Yeung discusses the hot topics in aortic disease management — including how to deal with surgical complications when they arise and how to find personalised therapy for patients with vascular disease.
Dr. Kak Khee Yeung is a Professor, Vascular Surgeon and the Research Director at Amsterdam University Medical Centres, Netherlands. Her focus areas of treatment are dilating (aneurysm) and stenosing (narrowing) arterial diseases with new treatment methods, in particular, minimally invasive endovascular methods. She is also a Principal Investigator in research into aortic aneurysm and dissections has been awarded the Dekker grant from the Dutch Heart Foundation.
Dr. Yeung has been involved in creating the fantastic programme for this year’s meeting, she will be presenting an edited case titled “Conformable EVAR graft in a tortous neck” as part of the Infrarenal Aortic session on Tuesday, 8 October 2024.
