About CX Aortic Live
CX Aortic Vienna Mission
We are delighted to host the inaugural CX Aortic Live in Vienna after four CX Aortic Vienna symposia from October 7th – 8th, 2024 at the beautiful Andaz Vienna Am Belvedere Hotel in central Vienna, and livestream globally for two days of aortic techniques and technologies focused on cardiac, vascular and endovascular aortic advances.
CX Aortic Live is the only dedicated boutique hotel meeting focused on the stand-alone aorta – from the aortic valve to the iliac arteries. Importantly, the CX Aortic community is for all who manage the aorta and welcomes specialists from all backgrounds including cardiac aortic, cardiovascular, cardiothoracic, interventional, radiology, vascular and endovascular experts.
The mission of CX Aortic Live is to unite classical open, hybrid and endovascular solutions to distil what is in the patient’s best interest and how we can progress the future of aortic care. CX Aortic Live will have the largest number of live cases ever performed in a single meeting. 20 aortic procedures will be performed live with cutting edge technology and world class operative techniques. Aortic Live editions in Hamburg and Essen attracted approximately 500 participants of which 60% were vascular surgeons and 40% were cardiac aortic surgeons.
CX Programme and Format
All Charing Cross Symposia are distinguished by a unique and logical programme, which focuses on identifying evidence for optimal vascular, cardiovascular and aortic disease management from head to toe.
- Debate and emphasis on interaction with an export audience are key aspects of the CX style. Education, Innovation and Evidence are core CX values.
- Short presentations and time keeping are key characteristics of the CX sessions; these enable the right time for comments and questions by the audience.
- At the sessions, there is an anchor who monitors time, encourages audience and speaker interaction and conducts the discussion; there is also a moderator who assists the anchor with questions to and from the audience.
