The CX Aortic Live team sat down with Director of the Cardiac Surgery Department at S.Orsola-Malpighi Hospital and Executive Board Member, Dr. Davide Pacini to discuss the value of viewing live surgical cases, the live case he will be performing and, taking a multidisciplinary approach to treating patients with aortic disease.
Dr. Pacini graduated from the University of Bologna (Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna) where he also completed cardiac surgery residency. In 2018 he became the Director of the Cardiac Surgery Department at S.Orsola-Malpighi Hospital. He is mainly interested in cardiac and aortic surgery as well as in heart transplantation. He has been a recipient of the “C. Walton Lillehei Hiovani Laureati” Award and the “Hans Borst Award”.
