“Go LIVE with the Aortic experts!”

The CX Aortic Live team sat down with the Head of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Radboud University Medical Centre, Nijmegen, Netherlands, Dr. Robin Heijmen to discuss the importance of combining techniques in a multidisciplinary setting. He also provides us with details of his upcoming presentation “Zone 2 arch repair and completion TEVAR upon indication for acute type A aortic dissection”.

Dr. Heijmen received his medical degree from Radboud University of Nijmegen, his PhD from the University of Utrecht, and completed surgical training at St. Antonius Hospital, Nijmegen, Netherlands. He is the Head of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Radboud University Medical Centre. His clinical and scientific interests are open- and endovascular surgery for aortic pathology from root to thoraco-abdominal aorta, next to transcatheter valve interventions, and pulmonary thromboendarterectomy.
